ilah
Hey all just wanting to know if anyone has kept large fire eels (say about 30cm) together and how have they been? what size tank they were in etc, I have had a large and small together before with no probs but kinda wanna check before putting larger ones with each other Thanks
David R
The guy I got my large one off had a 17" and a 14" one together. IMO a group would probably be better than two.
ilah
Yeah thats what i was thinking too but its hard enough finding one decent sized eel never mind a couple haha. Would tyre tracks be alright together with them? just as hard finding those aswell though :-?
Chazza404
afaik tyre tracks are basically the same as fire eels in terms of other eels as tank mates, i got got a 12cm tyre track hes so cute

Navarre
Would say that the 3 big Fire eels at redwoods would be that big easily. 2 together and one on its own. no whiitespot that could be seen feeding easily and freely swimming in tanks they also have spiney peacocks and tire tracks I think anout teh 10-12 cm mark..all looking good. coelacanth
I just saw Redwood's fire eels the other day. They look awesome. Still got three. $160. I'd say about 35-40cm long. Now if I just had a tank at home big enough to fit them all in......
