evilknieval69
I would personally say no, as that is a quite small tank.... See what others say
Caryl
I wouldn't put them in a tank that small. They can grow up to 15cm and are territorial.
ryanjury
Considering a mature convict would be around 150mm long maybe bigger id say that tank is definately not suitable for them at all.. Sorry id say 2.5 to 3ft for a pair of convicts.
SilverBlade86
Oh, ok. I was actually thinking of buying this for my fry, then suddenly thought it might be a good excuse to get a pair of Convicts. I have a 3footer at the moment, but Cichlids in general dont go well with Swordtails, Guppies, Tiger Barbs and Angels right? Edit - Also, thanks for the fast replies. I really didnt expect it to be this fast
ryanjury
No definately not with those other fish I probably wouldn't stick anything unless it was really rugged and fast in with a pair of convicts in a 3ft tank.. You coudl possibly find a 3ft tank for 20 anyway dont know why you'd bother with that tiny one..
SilverBlade86
I wish I could find 3footers for 20 dollars, its quite rare to find it here! Main reason was I saw some guy who had a pair of Convicts in a tank perhaps slightly bigger than that. I had no idea it was bad for them. ryanjury
Im sure there are people on the forums here that will have tanks spare for that cheap.. Check with your local club, also sometimes second hand shops or tender centres..
