cichfanatic
Hi AW you’re right Just doing some research and came across this The 4 synodontis multi have not shown there faces since being put in the tank They seem to like caves more than my cichlids Maybe it will take them a little time to get used to there new home I’m feeding them at night and nothing seems to be left by the morning so probably all is ok thought it best to give them abit of time without interfering but will check on them in a few days
rcon021
who has Synodontis multipunctatus?
AW
http://s97.photobucket.com/albums/l227/ ... I_9041.flv Vidoe clip of a school of 30! Just looks neat in a big group. No doubt once they settle in they'll make their apparance known. My Fronts were shy, barely wanted to come out of the cave for food, but now they attcaking the food at the surface. My biggest Front pretty much went staight to the surface the same time I dropped the food in to grab as much as he could.

Afrikan
Rather a few months ago the real deals came in and they were retailing at $190 odd each. 5 inch size. Have you got any pics to share cichfanatic of the new lot that came in?
cichfanatic
Will try to take some pictures this week These ones must be slightly smaller than the last lot that came in Just happy to have them
malawi_man
so what cichlids are you planning to breed them with?
cichfanatic
Not sure yet what cichlids to use They are still very small so plenty of time yet to decide Will keep them in with my Fronts in the mean time Had a few dramas and thought that the best thing was to sell the Fronts But sometimes good things do happen and now able to keep them and setup a 6 foot tank So when setup this is going to be the home for the syno multi’s for now
rcon021
mine are about 4-5 inches living with a group of malawi fish.. they were eating too many tropheous eggs They are very active aswell. Always out eating and chasing the cichlids around. Esp my male afra. Only now they are getting onto a meaty diet so the one that i think is a female is sorta fattening up. From what i have read it isn't a good idea to have big colony.
cichfanatic
Not to worried about having them with the fronts I’m not keen on letting the fronts breed anyway as I feel they have been line breed enough So much rather see if they make good hosts for the syno’s If not I’ll look at another cichlid Also depends on how much the syno's harass the frontosas My Fronts welfare takes priority Would be great to have little syno multi's and see the spawning take place
