michael.qian
put the lead weight gently around the bottom of the stalks but too tight and just let the cabomba drop into the water without actually burying it, so that the lead weight holds it down and cabomba still stand upright. Hopefully this way roots will grow and extend into the gravel.
Caryl
Depends what fish are in there as they will eat the roots. I would remove the lead weight and plant the cabomba.
