Staplez
I've decided I'm going to get a pair of BNs for my 3ft tank. I guess I would just like any tips for giving them a comfortable home and a good diet.
SpidersWeb
Biggest thing is to make sure you have driftwood in the tank, they eat wood as part of their diet, and it can cause problems if its not available. They like their caves, and if they're at breeding size and male/female, then give the male a cave with only one entrance. They love sliced courgette, just gotta use something to weight it down, like a plant anchor, or a teaspoon. I haven't fed mine courgette or cucumber in ages though, just the occasional algae tab and let them find their own food - like algae on the glass or wood Great choice of fish, enjoy
Afrikan
Hmm yeah overfeeding the little blighters can lead to lazy butt syndrome when it comes to cleaning algae off the glass

Staplez
Cool, I have driftwood, a cave and glass. So i'll give them a bit of cucumber for a treat now and again. Thanks guys
sharn
peas are also often accepted, i just chuck em in a glass of warm water to thaw then pop them out of their shells (the shells are hard to digest) and in they go
Keri Anne
The JBL pleco chips are good as they hae wood fibers in them. My BN also love cucumber.
