CMG
How long do electric yellows hold for? How long do you need to wait before you can strip the babies out?
ryanjury
I used to wait 2 weeks and they were sweet but it depends on your temp etc..
A.PROPHECY
I wait about three weeks then strip them. They still have their eggsacks at this time but loose them after a few days.
CMG
What temp did you have your tank when you were stripping after 2 weeks. Our female has been holding for only 11 days that we know of and she is boldging so much!
ryanjury
I find that the cavity goes quite black when they're getting quite developed.. All my newly stripped fry spend the first few weeks in a guppy trap with airstone so they can get food etc so it doesn't matter if they have a little eggsack left.. Afrikan
My girls normally spit after I move them to their own tank, must be the content thing  I reckon 2 weeks is a good time.. I think it depends how well she is doing with her crop full.. I stripped a Marleri Peacock today.. her cavity was very dark.. 40 plus fry I got out of her
herefishiefishie
I wait about three weeks then strip them. They still have their eggsacks at this time but loose them after a few days. I strip mine at 2 weeks, as I know they are free swimming, no egg sack at all. Frenchy

Johannes Visser
Congrats If conditions are OK, she will hold again in 3 to 4 weeks, but the fry will be less next time, I found with all our females holding for the first time had more the first time then the second time. After more and more have a large lady that almost always holds 31 fry every 3 weeks
Afrikan
That's strange, it has worked the opposite way around for me
