sharn
i recently purchased a 304 and sadly one lift lock clamp arrived broken. got the replacement clamps today but cant for the life of me find out how to get them in! i took the four silver screws on the underside of the head out but that wont pull apart (i didnt try very hard for risk of breaking it) enough for me to be able to get the clamp in place. any ideas? Alan
So as not to damage it yourself Sharn and loose the ability to claim on it, take it back from whence your bought it and say, "Fix it!!" Alan
sharn
i cant i bought it off TM (new, and the guy sells alot of fishy stuff) and because it was posted i have no way of claiming from either him or the postage company because i dont know where it was broken. it was the clip closest to the centre of the box which makes me think it wasnt in the post (box was undamaged) but i have no way of proving it. he did not state in his auction that he took no responsibility for items after they left his hands but im not paying 20 for it to be sent back when its not my fault it got broken i am going to hit the roof if i have to pay someone to fix this for me- i paid 220 for it and ill be one unhappy camper if i have to pay more for it  why would they sell the spare parts if it isnt easily fixed? sharn
i got it- without a mans help unless you count Frank's (my oscar) watchful eye as help  i pulled it apart fairly hard and managed to wiggle the piece into place- got grazed knuckles in the process but grazed knuckles is nicer than having to take it to someone to fix
