Insect Direct
I think rcon posted a pic of the weitzmani on page 2 of this topic! How big do cories have to be before they breed?? Ive got some bronze cories and they seem to be chasing each other around but i thought they were to small- theyd be 4-5cm maybe!
rcon021
4-5cm would be big enough to breed. My weitzmani are about 5cm max. When i spawned my bronze last year they were 4-5 cm.
fishboi
good job rcon crossing my fingers for ya. but i like ur Arcuatus and fluorescent gold better. any luck with those?
rcon021
yes i have spawned Arcuatus but i had exams during that time so didn't seperate the eggs and they were all gone within a day or so. I want to breed the weitzmani again and then breed the Arcuatus.

Faran
Holy cow! Those beauts are gorgeous! What are they? Body and head shape are very similar to my adult L102 but the spots are too small. I want some, can I get some? puh-leeeaasseeee? BTW, I've spent some time trying to get decent pics of plecs for this thread, will post them eventually!
Insect Direct
Heeeey they're kool man, come on what are they??
rcon021
They are not L102. They are much smaller than that L136a. In the 2nd pic you can see 2 females and a male and they are only about 7cm. Will give that trio a go in about 2 months. I am having problems with my L066. They have to spawn someday soon
Faran
At least I nailed the genus I'd love a smaller version of the L102 snowball, but rather tired of carnivorous plecs and territorial ones to boot... You have L066 as well? Wicked, best luck breeding them!

Billaney
Blue , I think your "Skunk Cory is a bandit cory , Corydoras Metae if you want to get scentific , i have some the same and have been checking them out since they spawned to make sure i got the name correct , the skunk cory has a dark arch band copletely over the side/top of its back , still very nice, and adele says she likes the butterfly plec too
Faran
Thanks for that, was good chatting with Adele again this weekend. Really need to make a trip down and see you guys soon! Show her the pics above of the whole clan Appreciate the advice but I've double checked and my skunk cory is C. Arcuatus with a solid band from eye to caudal peduncle. The skunks you picked up are from a different source to my one lonely skunker Anyone have some friends for this guy? He doesn't mind being a big brother to a tank full of Panda corys, tho!
