Alan
Yes, I'll go along with that choice of name too. Ppl often call them fresh water schnapper, you'll see why as he develops. Alan

evilknieval69
6 of them...In a planted tank... Obviously you've never had one. Nah i know what you mean. I sort of mean a well established planted tank with plants like amazon swords and java fern, Well rooted. No pretty little aquascaping or anything.... I know they dig etc.
evilknieval69
No worries at all TimTam, yur always welcome for juss a visit. :-) Yer, have fun trying to have a Planted tank wif 6 of them! I have 3 in a 5ft Tank and yer - Plants only last if they are in a well Planted 'Raised' area (so ya need a wide tank). But they are so cool, like Ira, they are one of my faves! :-) Yea, it would be cool to have some big amazon swords which have been growing in the tank for a long time so are well rooted, in a sand substrate but with big rocks around the base of the plants... And then maybe some java fern growing on rocks or wood. I didnt mean planted as in a perfect planted tank with metal halides and co2 injection etc. just lightly planted with some hardy plants that the geos are not likely to uproot etc....
