djay
Hi can someone tell me how you work out the volume of water in your tank. Thanks Dianne
evilknieval69
Get all lengths in CM Multiply Length x width x height Then divide the answer by 1000
ljtan55
Length of tank in cm x width x height and then divide it by 1000 and then you have it in litres. Times 0.26 to get gallons.

alanmin4304
If you want the volume of water to add meds or other treatment don't forget to allow for the gravel, gap at the top and any large solid objects. The old tanks were based on pretty standard measurements that were useful. the standard tank was 24x12x12 inches and held 2 cubic feet (12 gallons) and every inch of water was a gallon. Caryl
I used to drive Grant nuts when I measured curtains by saying they are 2 metres, 1 inch and 3 doodackeys. Now I just drive Grant nuts
