Click on the 'fnzas.org is here' at the top of the page then select 'Plant Survey' then select the plant you want. According to this publication... Warren Posted September 27, 2003 Report Share Posted September 27, 2003 Wait until the plants start producing roots at leat 50mm long. Carefully break the plant off the runner. You should find 2 plants at each node, 1 each side of the the runner. Use your fingernail to gently break the plant off. robert Posted September 28, 2003 Report Share Posted September 28, 2003 I wait untill the roots and leaves start to develop then i cut them off with siccors,you can let them float around in the tank and they will grown bigger and them plant them or sell them off.My large plant in my discus tank has producted appox 55 60 babies in the past 18 months. Alan Posted September 28, 2003 Report Share Posted September 28, 2003 Frans, from the Living Waters, Tauranga, says to propogate this type of plant, just bend the producing branch back down into the water. Experience will tell you when to slide them of the main stem, using your finger. Then plant them in a growing mix until big enough to add to your tank/tanks.
