Also where does everyones settle? as i have heard they need to go under a rock but i see buzzy's is in the middle of no where in her old tank. any help great ta
Ira
The type of anemone is important for how much it moves, where it likes to be, etc.
buzzy
it not moving because of a temp/salinety/ph etc drop after your water change?? just a thought?
suphew
You should compare notes with Chimera, he's having problems getting his to move!
chimera
i think the water change is just coincidence. upon reading the net on articles to get mine to move, plus experimenting what it likes and dislikes, it moves simple when it cant get comfortable. this seems most likely to do with where its pedal disc is attached. they seem to like crevices more than ledges, a rock that is V in shape the anemone will put its disc on one inner side of the V and lean onto the other, taking up all the space in that area. i've found its easy to get them to wander, as wasp mentioned to me, turn the rock so they're on top - they clearly hate that and start moving reasonably quickly. if you have too much "flat" rock it might not ever find a suitable "home". provide more diverse rock arrangement with more crevices available and it will stop moving once its happy enough
raeh1
Create a big gap in a rock wall like a minin grand canyon. If that makes sense. My bta went in my one and has been happy ever since.
shaneo
Create a big gap in a rock wall like a minin grand canyon. If that makes sense. My bta went in my one and has been happy ever since. I did the same and had the same good result, it is in a V crevice and attached just like Chimera explained. Try create lots of different sized gaps ect for it.
