Conaquavict Posted August 29, 2006 Report Share Posted August 29, 2006 Well i had 10 new Discus arrive from the breeders to day, they are pretty shy as expected and as you can see from the poor pics, most of them are hiding out under the filter at the moment. Here's a quick shot of the tank, (decor not completed yet) And here's a few shots of the new guys, still a lot of colouring up to do but looking good. Discusguru Posted August 30, 2006 Report Share Posted August 30, 2006 You'll have to do alot of water changes and feedings to grow them to their full potentials . IME it's very hard to maintain the water quality in a planted tank because of the heavy feeding to pump the discus up. Fully grown discus in a planted tank is the better way to go cos you don't have to feed that much. Keep us updated on the discus.
