Spawning site is 4 Dense homsmade floating mops. the girls were very pump before he was put in. I am not sure about there age or if they ahve been sterilised?? Do breeders do this? Its the fisrt I have heard of it? They came from my LFS, A priosn Officer i work with , does part time there and he always "SORTS ME OUT" good stuff, He said they only recently came in! My cusion got some fromthe same shop both he has lost both males? and gave me his two females? Could this be something to think about? I am on CHALK, so the GH is over 300ppm!!!! What do you think? Thanks Alan, I have got them in this set up, and I have lowered the softness of the water slowly over 8 days, feed on Good Live Brine (that I grow) and still have NOTHING?? Whats going wrong? Temp:24/25 Light: 6 hours Feed: 3/4 times a day Brine/White worm/Blood worm Water changes: 5% every day.......Cleaning out the waste Filter: Air sponge this is keep in the Fish Shed so doesn't get upset by anything? Any help????????? PS

Hi, I pick up a couple of lovely little dwarf Chiclids being sold under the name of "microgeophagus thomas": can anyone tell me if that is a right name? They are small, with fine specks of blue over a sliver body, Black spot half way down body, No other colour. Like a Blue Ram shape, but samller. Can't find anything on them? will try to post a pic soon. I know this is not much to go on but anything will help!

Hello, I have two RC Crays, to which I believed to be one of each sex! But yesterday, I noticed that one (Female) had got out the tank......Its a woman thing, think SHE went shopping! After tearing the place apart ( This is in a garge with her 6' tank,a 2' tank, 5' tank and a brine shrimp hatchery plus a 700 gal indoor Koi Tank! ) I found HER.....very dirty and DRIED up! I put HER back into HER tank and SHE came around. Then the Male in the tank was getting it on with HER, They were going mad at it..........But then .......whats this, SHE has a faint RED CLAW........Is SHE now a HE? :evil: I have had HER/HE upside down and check out the breeding parts...This is very hard to do.......and thought i had got it right? Can anyone help me? If SHE/HE has got a Slight red claw could SHE/HE be a young male? (She/He/It is smaller than the Male) Any Help would be good! Prison Shepherd

Hi all I am Prison Shepherd, I am from Eastbourne,East Sussex,England,UK. I am a Prison Officer/Control & Restraint Instructor working for HMPrison Service. 8) I have a 48"x15"x18" trop with many fishies? Firemouths,Bulldog plecs,Bolivain Chiclids,Kribs,bamboo shrimps,Gaint whiptail,bumble bee cat,corys and a few other bits, in an indoor set up. I have also a breeding pair of Red Claw Crays, breeding Kribs and a Brine shrimp breeding set up. Also a 76"x18x18 with the shed doing the breeding of bits and bobs. Hoping to start breeding Firemouths this week? Hoping to get lots of help from everyone on here, always willing to learn. Why have I joined this forum?..........Looking at moving the family over to NZ as the NZ prison service (Sorry correctional) are looking for Officers? Plus you lot in NZ are a nice bunch of people!! :lol: Hope to post soon.
