I have to admit - I've never heard of freshwater shrimp in New Zealand at all - certainly never seen one :-) They're almost mythical ;-)

Hi All, I was put on to this forum by another NZ aquarist on another board. I've been asking around various pet stores (Hollywood Fish Farm, Jansens, Pet Corner, Bird Barn Pets) after freshwater shrimp for aquaria, and none stock them.. HWFF even said they were illegal to sell?! Does anyone know the truth of the matter? Thanks for any info, Brett C Auckland
