Iodine is a small % of sw. You can add it if you want but I notice that people with large sps setups dose with the stuff. I add marivit by sera every now & then as well as 2 tsp of pure garlic juice to 100Lt. That will make your corals inflate to explode mode.

Here in Australia, I live in Melbourne the LR prices ranges from $12-$15. It comes from low tide areas in north Queensland & Western Australia. Its full of bugs & small corals even after a light cycle at the LFS. You can place an order & pick it up in 2 days & take it home to use straight away. The rock has to smell like fresh sea water, if not it will need more cycling.

It needs some sand patchs dotted around to break it up a bit.

Sometimes a thin invisable stream of water can be playing on one section of coral 24/7 with just enough force to stop it from opening properly.I use the twin rotating arms fixed to powerheads to prevent this.

Instead of paying $30 for 200 grams & getting ripped off just pay $12 for 20kg of builders lime at any good hardware store. Bunnings for instance.
