thnk guys yeah he seems happy enough and has a good appetite.  Do I need to work to much about ph?. Also I read that they need calcium supplements what is the easiest way to do this. My Ultimate plan is to get the little buggers breeding and get an aquaponics setup going with them . I have to large outdoor ponds to utilize about 4 feet away from each other one is approx 2 feet higher than the other so was thinking of a pump to gravity type idea to use both ponds.

Hi guys new to the forum and the world of fish keeping. I've had a tonne of axolotls over the years but nothing serious. I have just recently quit smoking and picked this up as a hobby and new addiction it seems. I have 2 koura red glories in a 70 litre tank at the moment with a couple minnows and bronzies in their too , so far they are doing fine but time will tell. Bunch if different snails. Ideally I'd like to get them to breed but contacted the supplier and they won't provide any females? Or won't allow you to breed them any way so I will look for some wild ones and maybe a couple little native fish. The big plan is to get an aquaponics set up going as I have two massive outdoor ponds and a nursery too utilize. My tank is sitting at 19-20 degrees and I'm guessing from research it should be a bit cooler. I live in southland and didn't think it would really be a problem at this time of year but I guess our fire heats the house better than I thought. So I could relocate the tank or look at some sort of cooling system which seems pricey. Anyway massive spiel over, awesome forum learning a lot allready . Cheers.
    Ps meet pinchy and clamps...
