  1. cameras have come a long way.

just about all brand name cameras are capable of decent results these days.

eliminating relections and holding the camera still are vital to good results. search you tube. lots of serious set ups there.

my tip would be, tripod and good old ten/two second timer shutter release.

watch out for over exposed, burnt out highlights. if this happens, dial in underexposure until they disappear.

if some parts of your image go black, from under exposure, so be it....

  2. I have just recently bought myself a school of penguin tetras.

They were pretty bad conditioned in the shop, but after a week of better treatment they have really come right.

With a bit more size to them, they are going to be really nice.

What kind of size can I expect?

    Who else keeps them?

  3. Hi, I'm a new member from Taupo. 50yrs old. Been keeping fish on and off since I was a child. Not seriously, just for fun. Got two tanks. A 90liter and a 250lirer. Got some neons and a cple of bristlenose. Got a planted tank in the living room with some twisted val and a stem plant I forget the name of.

Looking forward to being a member here, looks like a great site.

    Cheers everyone. Charlie.
