After only 3 short months our wee guy has to be put down . He developed FIP from Coronavirus . he was a birthday present to my wife. We will miss him.

Getting there

I want to move the Lemon tetra ( 5 ) out and increase the neons, 5 for 5 swap anyone, Auck area .

Now have; 10 Black Phantom 5 Diamond 5 Lemon 5 Neon Tetra 3 guppy 5 platy 5 Harlequin rasbora 1 BN 1 Golden Chinese Algae Eater ...phew..! I'd like an interesting "bottom" dweller too , maybe GBR group or Kribs..? My wife loves Angel fish too but doesn't like the idea of them growing big enought to make a meal out of the guppies and neons. I have had Cory's and Kuhli loaches in the past but my gravel in this one is not that fine and has sharp edges..( not so good for plant roots it turns out )

Currently have one Golden Algae Eater and one very small BN,in a planted community Aqua One 980, getting a little green spots forming on the glass,Would 5-7 Otto's to clean up the growth get on with the Golden or would I be better off with a couple more and no Otto's. ? The one I have likes to chase his(?) tank mates around ( espc when the algae wafer or courgette goes in!!)

I have had a bit of a reshuffle. Getting big wood or spider root , plant and more livestock this weekend . Really like those Black Phantom and the wife wants Diamond tetras.

Goldfish going into a Jewel 62(?) it is big enough. We originally bought a much smaller 20 odd litre with a gf off trademe

WASPS!!! I Hate them with a passion! I got clobbered while pig hunting ( no animals were harmed ) in the Waipua , Northland... camping at the Kai Iwis at the time , by the time I drove back to the campsite with 22 stings in my back I had started to go into shock...scary... Lucky one of our friends had antihistimes to cram down me..I don't like wasps at all!!! They still itched a month later!

Old post I know, but, The Parrot Place in Kerikeri is very cool, so is the family owned and run Glow Worm Caves not far from Whangarei or Waipu turn off ( I think that 's right?)

My new( second hand) AquaOne 980. I'm not entirely happy with how it is shaping up so it may get a re-do when we can afford another larger bit of spider root.

Hi everyone, my name is Ant and I've got back into it. Started this time with a small guppy tank for my wife's classroom, now to house goldfish, and we have a second hand Aqua One 980, to be a planted community set up. ( tetras mainly) Not using the trickle filter, have a Eheim 2213 canister that came with it. 8yrs old so it's showing a few signs of age, but we'll see how I get on. ( my...how the prices have gone up for fish !!!)
