Hey im after a jardini that needs rehoming as im not keen on buying 6cm long fish that are available through shops currently. Happy to pay a resonable price but not rediculas. I am in Nelson area so if anyone knows of anyone let me know.

Hey im just starting to set up my second 6 foot tank which i am getting a silver arowana and was thinking of adding 2 oscars and a jack dempsey. From what ive read its best to let the arowana get established and grow to around 12 inches before adding other boisterous fish is this correct? Just after some input from people with a similar setup.

Ok sweet yea im in nelson and have got a 1000litre chiller and was going to build a 600litre approx indoor pond in my garage with polythene. Is there an easy way to tell the sex of the fish with galaxids? Iv had fungus problems with a couple of banded kokopu i had a couple of years back but i didnt have a chiller then.

Hey im in the process of planning a kokopu set up and i just read some info saying that if the females dont spawn they become egg bound and die and this is a problem indoors because they wont spawn? Was about giant kokopu is this so with all the species as i dont want to take them if they wont live?

Sweet so is there no pump inside the chiller? Do you need an external one to pump water through the chiller and do you fill it up to the top of the chiller with water?

Hey just scored a second hand hailea hc-1000a but didnt come with manual or instructions. I have never set a chiller up before can you empty water from inside by tipping and letting it run out the inlet and outlet? Also do you fill with water before turning on? And what kind of filter system works best?

Sweet thats good to know do the chillers have a thermostat u set them to like a heater and would you be better off getting your water from the river rather that using water ager and tap water? Also do you feed them everyday with a range of food or every couple of days?

Hey a few years back i tried keeping banded kokapu in a 600ish litre indoor pond in my garage i had around 5 and they all devaloped a fungal infection and died realy quickly. I realy want to try and keep them again but not until i know what i did wrong and any secrets to keeping them happy. Any help would be really appreciated. Cheers
