  2. Hi! I was recommended to using glutaraldehyde for algae and this has gone very well in one of my aquariums. The treatment consists of using 5 ml of glutaraldehyde per 10 gallons of aquarium water at night for a period of two weeks. The glutaraldehyde that can be used is the medicinal one, or also come products specifically for freshwater aquariums that containing it, as is Seachem Flourish Excel and Api CO2 Booster, this last is the one I'm using. I've been one weeks already using it and the difference was really amazing. The glutaral, in addition to eliminate any type of algae including those you have in your aquarium, also provides CO2 to your plants. Please note, that there is one product of glutaral used as an industrial disinfectant, this can not be used for aquariums because that would kill the fish. This type comes mixed with other chemicals and detergents that affect to much the fish. Please don't use that kind of glutaral. If you want, you can find out more info about the glutaraldehyde on the internet but I really told you everything you need to know. Thanks for your attention guys, have a nice day! I forgot something! If you buy in a pharmacy, it has to be glutaraldehyde of 2%, no more please. There is one that came from 50% for example, that would kill the fish because it is too much amount, so it's better to buy the Seachem flourish excel or Api Co2 booster to secure that it safe to fish and invertebrates for freshwater aquariums. Thanks for read my post. Here I upload two videos of my tank, in this videos I want to show you it before and after the treatment. Regards. Before use the treatment with glutaraldehyde: After one week using the glutaraldehyde on my tank: ___________________ My channel in YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCVImmM5y7P98cGsVEVwidJA
  3. Hi! Here I present the first spawning of the Ramirezi generation born in one of my tanks. This aquarium is too much difficult to the fry survive if they hatch but I will entertain a lot watching my Rams defend their spawning as if they were in their natural habitat. I put this couple in this aquarium because I have two other couples in the other aquariums that I have, one of this couple are alone in one of the aquariums. I hope you like the video. Greetings! https://youtu.be/87QwVo4MX4M

  6. Hi guys! Thanks all of you for your comments in my post I have been looking for more information on this variety of color in the Ramirezi and its beautiful! There are more varieties or mutations result of crossing between the golden and electric blue but this is the most that I loved! I want to clarify a few things because I've seen some doubts in other forums. First, there is not a hybrid, because this is a cross between varieties of the same species (Ramirezi Electric Blue and Golden). It's actually a new variety of color (a new mutation). I say new because I've seen and articles about this mutation and just date from 2013. To clarify any doubts that any people here may have, I share some pictures and Internet address that I found. So you can compare this photos with the golden ram or the electric blue ram and see that them are not the same color that the orange head EB. My own fish although in the video its color looks white, is not only white, the electric blue color looks depending on how the light illuminates it. When I take the video, the fish looked more white than blue but already today after little more than a week of intensive feeding can be seen more blue in its body. Another clarification is that these fish was not born in my tanks, rather, I buy it in a local store. Well, I will continue looking for more info. to provide ok.. Thanks all of you again and nononomome thanks for the info too! Regards. http://www.archer-fish.ru/ramirezi-electric-blue/
  7. Hello everyone! I want to introduce a rare variety of Ramirezi. It is the result of crossing the electric blue variety and golden variety. I want to know if anyone has managed to cross these varieties and get one like mine or if have to get in a store. I think I was lucky. I hope to reproduce it. Regards.
