Thanks skuzza it will be sit back and work on the overdraft now Apart from the tanks we replaced the surf with a van had to change the house (new garage doors new bigger shed more shelving under house) the washing machine packed up so new one, I broke the dish washer so saving for one of those, we had the big chiller out the back burn out and a big freezer in the shop stuff up that was $1500 I'm sure I have forgotten something it's been a bad year but got a lot done looking forward to better luck!!.

Lost all my xenia with transfer and leathers still not looking good one other softy not good every thing else ok Anemones all look happy no fish loss. Think the leathers will come back but not happy about the xenia I loved that one. Just the band around the top on the big tank to go Frog got the cube one done yesterday. Had to add a few big rocks no live rock forsale so will now have to wait for it to colour up I also need more sand. Wasn't sure about the 150 halide on the cube so added the t5s one white one blue around the inside of the rimu band and put the powercompact white and blue along the back nice amount of light now.

I have given my son my fresh water set up, he would like to use my cabinet and replace the tank with a higher one so he can give the plants more room to grow he would like to make the tank 1220 x .400x 1mtr high is that o.k. to have the tank that high for the other dimensions. It was sad to give away my fish but something had to give to make way for the larger salt water tanks

Chim you must have worn the skin off your right hand by now or are you left handed. For others that are interested it has been hard making two tanks at once the problem is what to do with the stock while work is in progress, I have a few things not happy with the move leathers etc so would prefer to take some photos in a few weeks when they are happy again. Frog is going to make the bands for the top of the tanks tomorrow.

All finished apart from new rimu bands for the tops can't say it has been fun. Sump leaked on Friday so have been busy fixing that little problem. Total system 1630ltrs <>1300lts approx net Fish love the extra space Time now to sit back and enjoy

Today we got the new sump in the big sump box and the new plumbing gone from 20mm inflow to 25mm and from 25mm to 50mm overflow. The new tank only has one overflow box in back corner the old tank had two across each corner. We are also having two pumps for inflow one straight into tank and one via chiller. Tomorrow and Tuesday hope to install new sump and finish plumbing, put combs on overflow and collect some water in big barrels to preheat. The lights aren't in the middle now with extra width but will worry about that later maybe. The fish don't seem to mind their temp home but the corals are looking a bit sad. The butterfly fish misses the long swim up the tank but he will love the extra space in his new home I'm sure. Hope we don't get to much rain before we can collect the water it will be one big water change this week.

I'm blessed with really good staff, they can run the place and look after the fish when we are away Sorry about the photos but you will see plenty of the finished product.

Sorry Reef no photos it hasn't been easy doing all this and running the shop at the same time, got staff in to cover for Frog this weekend another added expense.

New tank now on it's cabinet, Rod did well cutting down the old tank to make the sump, tomorrow finish the sump box and install plus plumbing. P.S. Happy with the size looks big!!

Tanks made and sitting on the lounge floor, did the transfer of stock into the cube tank bit of a tight fit but all in apart from some packing rock and sand which is contained with power filter and heater. Rounded up some mussels to lift the old tank onto the floor now we have two tanks on the lounge floor, Rod is going to try and cut the old tank down while it is made up tomorrow, so we can use it for a big sump 1700long. Frog has made a big box to put it in, and today he added more joists under the floor it now has 4 joists under the tank supported by block wall and metal beam. Tomorrow Frog has to do stuff with the cabinet to make it bigger and stronger. I'm glad we didn't wait any longer to do this the crack in the old tank had just started to enter the inside of tank. The whole thing has been a right pain in the a. don't want to ever go through this again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :

Glass is cut and sitting in the lounge, painted back glass. Rod is coming tonight to make a start putting it together Cube Tank is finished and waiting for the transfer.

I will be really happy with 2.7x.600x.600 Thanks to Steve and Mark with help on upgrading plumbing the other thing we will do is paint the back up the tank this time, plus upgrade the sump. We will have lots of glass to play with to make a nice sump any suggestions anyone

No the old tank was only 2.7 X .430 x .570

As it is Rod told Frog to put his foot down and to leave the tank its old size, Froggie stuck up for me 2.7 x .600 x .600 it is not pushing my luck anymore.

I want to be able to still sit in the lounge don't forget I have a .900x.900 cube in here too

While Rod was here making the cube I got him to check out a fracture in the front panel of the 2.7m tank. It was a small chip inside the left corner at the bottom which over the years has started to move, its just on the edge of going into the tank and now about 30mm long. Rod said it might not move anymore or it could go all the way to the top!!! Fay cried Frog had another fit!!!!!!!!!!!! After coming back down to earth, we have decided to replace the tank now while the cube is free a good place to put a lot of the stock. So we are going to add some width and hieght while we have the chance Tank will be 2.7x.600.600
