T5s should make glow. Looking good.

I would snap that branch off just past the white bit just incase it keeps dieing.Then snap the white bit off the brnch removed and make a frag
.I have the same type of over flow and found i lost a few fish over the top. I put a plastic great along the top which stoped the overflow noise and kept the fish in.

Found a spare in my piles of bits. Put it in and it makes the others look bad and also another bulb is not starting properly and is not as bright. The spare is better colour as the others have gone very yellow. time for some new ones.

The polyps on my hards are always out.They look like fluffy brushes 24 - 7. Is this not normal

Just got in from work to find one end of my tank a little dark. At first i thought the bulb might be loose in its fitting but on closer inspection i see it has exploded in to two bits. Has anyone had this before or am i looking at a somthing else

If you have a sump put frozen coke bottles full of water that is in there. I used to do this on my first set up and it does work well.

What do you expect when you run
1000w of lighting for 8 to 12 hours a day
300w heater or bigger on 24 -7
At least 200w to 400w of pumps 24 - 7
Theres not point complaining.

seachem do a reef dip which is quite good.You mix it up in a bucket with your tank water in it and dip away.The bottle used to have a red cross on it.Wonder world in roto used to have it if they dont he will get it for you.

This has happend to my monti before for no reason i could see.I find just break of the dead bits off and they are away. If you dont as i found out it can keep sreading and or slow the growth down.

I think you should do the test.Use someone who is not a close friend of either and does not own one or the other.

If they are simple to set up and maintain at the same time skimming enough for you tank size and bio load they are good no matter what the brand name.There is nothing worse then farting around tuning and checking for a couple of days after you clean or touch them.Those ones break down soon as you go on holiday.

I lost a lot of fish lately and i think it is the way they are caught or quarantined as the death rate is high not to mention the money going down the drain.They just dont live no matter what you do or how god your tank is.As for getting stuck on the streams that only ever happened in my tank when the fish is weak,sick or dieing.My fish think the streams are great fun.

I took mine out because it would eat my xenia when it felt like sum desert.It also killed my ribbon eel.

If you want an evil anemone buy the fluro green carpet. It looks out of this world it even had me memorised.It could make wave patterns in its neon green stingers which look so cool. I had to put a platic bag on my hand to touch it as it was more sticky than super glue and man can it eat you fish. I watched it try and eat my purple tang when it was swiming past. I was sure it had eyes. 8)
