  1. Thanks jckingjc, My bad pics don't do there color any justice, they shimmer with gold and purple under the right light. BUT! and that's a big but, when in the majority of my tank they just blend in to the background with a brownish green tinge. Not very exciting Thanks Mike
  2. Hi Guys, I'm Mike, living in Albany, Auckland Had an option for a cheep (scratched) AR980 a few months back, so I thought id have a go with a few Malawi Cichlids. I'm very much in to the tech side of things, and am always looking at ways to make things look tidier, easier to work with and work more effectively. Currently working in sports Irrigation (golf, bowls, sports fields etc) design, import & distribution, I have contacts to get almost anything I want to do with water through suppliers for my diy projects. My current main set up includes -AR980, running original filter -CF1200 canister -Weipro MX10/22 300w heater, in a custom external inline tube + 2 smaller tanks. 28l & 54l, which I'm growing out a few fry in. I've brought most of my fish off people who belong to this forum, and they have all been very helpful and more than happy to share info. Fish-main tank. 4x Electric Yellow Labs (+ my first 5 fry the other day ) 2x Aroura male juveniles (not to sure on these yet) 7x Blue zebra juveniles (to be thinned down to a 4 when they are easier to sex) 4x random zebra crosses (soon to be removed and sold off, I think) Fish-smaller tanks. 2x Peach zebra (soon to be sold off) 5x sp. taiwan reef On my to get list. P.Demasoni OB Peacock Al.Jacobfreibergi Peacock Thanks Mike

  5. Ok, so I stumbled across this with the help of a friend Possible ID Could be a poor quality Pseudotropheus Flavus (Dinghani cichlid)
  6. Yeah, They have a gold/greenish sheen to them (kind of like a giraffe cichlid) with purple around the head and lower fins, and are females, I have 4, although one is alot darker in color than the others. When I got them was told they were possibly red top hongi, But I don't think so!! Was thinking the same thing with the blue zebra cross though Thanks Mike
  7. Thanks Calculator, will remember that for next time!!
