  1. Did you get many ducks this season?
  2. Goats are good for target practice. Also make a really good stew. I do NOT recommend wrapping a slice of goat in tinfoil and cooking it on the fire, comes out very tough haha
  3. Hahahaha well played sir didnt think someone would get that out of my name. Your palate mustn't be refined enough to accept the wonderful taste of venison :lar:

  13. Just wondering what all the different shops in the lower half of the north island that sell freshwater and marine fish below Whanganui through to Waiouru across to Woodville. Wanting to get some names of places as I am trying to find some new bloodlines for my tanks varying from tetras to cichlids Thanks in advance
  14. tanks2u is in chicago??? Where in New Zealand are you so one of us can point you in the correct direction of a decent tank builder?
  15. You could try a product called Nutrafin Clearfast, what it does is ionically bond the floating particles to form small balls opf dirt which fall into the gravel which can then be syphoned out.
  16. So sunday came around out of the blue and I hadnt planned properly for documenting my build so here is a run down. Got up nice and early as I had to drop the fiancee at work so while out went and brought my piece of driftwood and gravel. Ended up deciding on just one colour of gravel, a nice pepper 3-5mm. So got home and rinsed my gravel and driftwood usual stuff. Then the first problem of the day happened, my plant supplier wasnt going to be in town until 4 so all day sat twiddling my thumbs. Finally got my plants, 4 big bunches of ambulia and 2 very tall twisted val. Finally time to plant them, made a bush of the ambulia in one corner and the twisted val in the other and in all honesty it was as easy as that the tank looked awesome. Added my puffer today and he loves cruising his new pad. Heres a photo sorry for the quality Graeme
  17. Tank looks awesome Sam I had the same problem occur in february with an order of marine fish I had ordered for work they were sent on tuesday and they turned up in the wrong shop on the otherside of town on FRIDAY was absolute crap. But very surprisingly I only lost 2 fish out of them all
  18. Ok cool. So I am going to start this build on Sunday cant wait

  22. Yea sounds like a plan to me. Thinking of using two different coloured gravels to distinguish between planted area and the "path"
  23. So here is a front and side view of the design. (Note yes I am very bored at work today)
