  1. This thing Could you please I.D it for me Please Cheers David
  2. Pretty sure its called Bolivian Ram Cichlid - Looks very similar to anyway. thanks for the feedback
  3. I have in my Display 3X convicts - 1 Breeding Pair 1X Peacock 6X Zebras - + 30-40 Fry 4X Yellow Labs - 1 Holding Eggs 2X Albinos 1X Ram - trying to breed with Peacock I'd like something Orange/Red to stand out. Ive got buyers for my Zebra Fry already but im really looking for COLOUR! I had marine but had to switch to freshwater. I found Cichlids were as close as I could get to marine.
  4. Has anyone put 2 different breeds together and got some cool mix's? Keen to know what works for colour and what doesn't Currently running 3X 35L tanks + 1X 120L + 800L display tank(with 200L sump) Plenty of room for cool some breeding plus the LFS has told me they want ALL my zebras this morning soon as they're a little bigger Keen for a response. Thanks
  5. Over All i stripped the females this morning. I have 30-40 blue Zebras in a 35L tank seem nice and happy only 2 look difformed/different looks pregnant/no tail at back. Have put 1 Yellow lab in a separate 35L by its self as it has eggs. They seem to be red in colour? Interested in Hybrids but that could be another topic keen to know what fish make cool colorings Thanks
  6. Im planning on setting up a tank in our lounge for zebras and yellows. When i get too many then nature can take its course. Plus the smaller tank can also act as my planted tank. The market in marlbough for fish is slim eg $1 each anyway selling
  7. going to leave as is over night, purchasing a few holding nets tomorrow as my electric yellows are the same and leave them in there until my 100L has cycled. Ive got 4x yellows 6x Blue zebra 1x Ram 3x Convicts 2x Albino's 1x Peacock 2x Electric Blues All this in a 400L tank plus 350L sump with a few apple snails in the bottom. all up I have 3x Blue zebras "holding" and also 2 yellows. Thanks for the help so far! cheers
  8. so the fry are already hatched and in the mouth? what happens if i dont strip them? and again what if i strip them and theyre eggs instead of fry will they still survive. thanks
  9. Awesome! so i need to set up a breeding net until i get another tank cycling and ready. How long do they hold for? and what do i need to do next? Thanks for the fast reply
  10. Hi, could you please let me know why 3 out of 7 fish have a bulge under their throat, is this eggs or just normal? Keen for a reply cheers David
  11. Hey Dave, Pictons good little quiet. Sold all my Marine tank. Starting new on FW seems easy atm
  12. I would love to try the red rotala in my tank but only a small amount so i dont get over crowded with it. When you suit you to pick some up?
  13. Thanks for the feedback im interested in half the tank being planted mainly for the reason that it should prevent algae growth. I found in my old marine tank that once algae takes off its hard to remove. Where is the best place to source plants simular to the fake ones in my tank? Ive got the idea of having the left side as a planted and the right side with decotations eg: looking at a sandfountain or volcano with bubbles
  14. Sorry, New to photobucket here are the photos again. Hopefully they work this time
