how do u grow frissidens ?? wat temperature is good for it ?? does it need more light to grow?? Med one: about 90mm when caught at the same time as Homer 182mm, 90g, condition = 1.49 as of 18 Aug 2012 195mm and 104g, condition = 1.40 on 10 nov 2012 Large one: about 120-125mm when caught late spring last year 203mm, 122g, condition = 1.46 as of 18 Aug 2012 218mm and 125g, condition = 1.21 on 10 nov 2012 (I think I weighed/measured this wrong as I cant see it loosing that much condition) 208mm and 125g would give a CF of 1.40 CF = W/L^3*100000 where W is in g L is in mm

my one neon looks so so fat ..its scales r also bit rough ..i googled it ..seems like bloating .. could any one suggest any medication ?? is it contagious ?

m so sad my black orchard fighter is sick ..it looks a white patch on its body .. its not swimming properly i av put him in a compartment with fuvan 2 and formalin solution fingers crossed ..wish it survive ..

once i bought frissidens ( m not sure how to spell it sorry ;( ) from trademe it looked bit unusuall coz it was on broken pieces of rock ..bought for 20 dollar ..n paid extra to drop it to rotorua lol unfortunately its not doin great n my tank .. few days later i went to mc laren falls found same thng ... came to know this guy was selling it from the falls haha

black out easy ... switch off ur lights . cover ur tank so that it ll be black ..no lights at all:P my tank s in my bed room so i just kept my curtains fully closed .. if possible run a co2 it ll help as well

most scratches can be removed by polishing.. u can buy glass polish from supercheap or any other

thnx frnds i like planted aquarium ... .. currently i have 4 tanks all planted (including my fighter tank ) i got a my first fighter from hamilton from an asian dude , was an awsome fish with extra extra long fin n crowntail .. he gave me some blue females also .. i got them breeding now i have all sorts of varietycolours .. lot of them i sold for a cheap price ..coz i couldnt keep them all .. i did purchased a black orchard crowntail he s still growing ..excellent one now i have a batch of 30 blue an red crowntail babies growing in my garage in a 60 litr plastic container lol

i just checked my tank today i can see green algae peeling off i thnk its working

also one more question wen i keep my tank in absolute darkness for 2 to 3 days will it effect my plants?? also forgot to tell my tank does have livestock aswell got lot of communitie fishes like neons rasboras also 2 octosynthus( alggae eater ) and 6 discus

its a AR 980 aqua one tank its 215 liter .. i got 3 tube lights in it 2 white and 1 blue .. i use liquid fertilizer ..no co2 and i thnk i keep the lights on for 8 to 9 hrs a day

hey friends i got algae in my tank need to do sumthng ..my tank is fully planted so i m scared to use algae fix coz last time it killed allmost all my plants ..i got black beard algae and green algae in my tank any suggestions geting rid of them??
