Hi there. I have noticed that one of my 2 dwarf gouramis has started swimming on a angle and sometimes completely vertical. I have just moved twice in the past 2 or 3 months and have also noticed that there black stress marks havent gone away yet and now this has happened. Is there any way that i can get rid of the black markings on them and is it the stress thats causing them to swim funny? Thanks Rico

Its a coloured gravel from animates. It was given to me with the tank and i thought that was pretty sweet but im not sure if its artificially coloured.

Possibly. I have never had a problem with leaving gravel soaking then using it a couple of days later. But your more than likely correct. Do you think that i would need to rinse out the tank as well? It smells really bad.

I recently bought a new 245l tank from animates and got free gravel with it. The other day i rinsed the gravel and had left it for a few days and today i poured it into my new tank and it absolutely stunk of ammonia. :an!gry Anybody got any ideas as to why the gravel stunk so bad of ammonia? :dunno:

Hi all, Im from hamilton but just recently moved to Ngaruawahia. Ive been fish keeping for almost as long as i can remember. I have a tropical community tank, turtles, guppy tank and goldfish and i have just recently bought a new Aqua one 980t i think it is which is yet to be filled with fishys. Thats about it for the moment. :happy2:
