  1. Hi there, Many thanks to all who replied to my question, thanks also for the photo's....What an amazing set up! How great would it be to go and visit that breeding room!?!? :nfs: Okay so endlers are possibly a fish of the past, how sad as they look simply stunning! Have a great day peoples  Bubblebum x
  2. Hi Friends, Do any of you know a breeder or seller of genuine ENDLER guppies? If you do I would love to hear from you please. I'm totally in love with these little cuties but can't find any!!! Also looking for some albino guppies that are nz bred, I don't want to risk putting in imported fish with my beautiful nz bred community fish. I have heard too many horror story's & decided not to take the risk. Thanks heaps, I hope to hear from you real soon  Have a happy week, Bubblebum.
  3. Hi Dachende, Thank you for your reply! Advice kindly appreciated. Do you think an 8 to 10cm rainbow shark would be okay to add to my tank? Have found one locally that has been living on his own with tetra etc...sounds like he could be the one for me :happy2: Kind Regards, Bubblebum
  4. Hi aaron11, Funny you should mention the female guppies...Yes I have 15 female guppies but a few days ago I removed them all from my big tank and put them all into their own 130L tank...reason for moving them is one of my big girls dopped 50+ guppie fry and all the other beautiful girls are also preg and ready to give birth. The new addidions (guppie fry) are looking fab & eating well and now they too are in ther own tank. I will raise the fry for a coupe of months and then sell them to make a little pocket money for my children. Cant believe I have gone from one tank to 3 in under a week...crazy and so addictive!! To answer your question, no the males are not chasing each other around after the removal of the ladies, in fact they are all looking relaxed and happy. The tank is large and I dont have a huge number of fish in there so they all seam to be enjoying the space and food  I think from here on in I will just place a couple of boys in the ladies tank to keep the fry coming. I have some beautiful fancy male guppies so it will be interesting to watch the fry grow and change. My children are loving the experiece and now have plenty of news to share at school show and tell time, lol. Thanks for your reply Bubblebum
  5. Hello, Im bubblebum and I'm new to this site (and relatively new to fish keeping), I would appreciate any advice on Tank Mates. As a child my father was a real tropical fish enthusiast, I have many fond childhood memories of helping my dad with his multiple fish tanks, sadly I no longer have my dad to ask advice and many years on have since had 6 children of my own...I wanted to share my fond memories with my children and give them the same experiences I enjoyed as a child so I have started small with one nice tank. I have a beautiful 260L tank containing... 1 Pleco (Approx 30cm) 8 Neon Tetra 6 Glow Light Tetra 8 Fancy Male Guppies 4 Diamond Tetra 4 (Tiny) Brisstle Nose Catfish The tank has been established for 2 months now and is looking fab, water is clear, PH levels are where they should be and all fish are feeding & existing together well. What I would love to know is if there are any other fish that I could have in there for a bit of a wow factor. I have always loved Pink Kissing Fish and also love Rainbow Sharks (Red Tail Shark), in saying this I have also seen Blue dwarf gouramis at my local pet shop that is a real stunner...I need some advice...can I have safely have any or one of these 3 breeds in my tank? Would it be possible to add 1 small Rainbow Shark to my tank or will he eat my stock of small fish? And what about a pair of Pink kissing fish? My dad used to keep these when I was a child, but I seam to remember they could be aggressive towards each other...Are my childhood memories correct? Would they be safe to have around my small community fish? Dwarf Gouramis...Can one or two of these be added to my existing community? Thanks for reading my post, I hope that someone out there can offer some sound advice. I have asked a few question at my local pet shop but do not feel confident in their answers as they all seam keen to "sell sell sell" Have a great day Bubblebum
