Thanks
  2. Hi, Anyone have any of these to spare / sell to me? I'm in Onehunga Auckland, so anywhere within 20mins drive is good with me. Thanks.
  3. Hey all, I recently just purchased a 50gal and looking to set it up. Wanted some help on what plants / decorative ideas. I'm planning to have a planted tank and these are the equipment that I have: 4x Lights = 168watts 1x Eheim 2222 Canister Filter 1x Aqua One Aquis 1050 Series 2 Canister Filter 1x 300watts Heater Seachem Flourite Black Substrate Seachem Flourish Excel (I don't have a co2 system) Looking to get a UV Sterlizer (does this help with plants at all? does this help kill algae?) Would these equipment be enough for me to get a nice looking planted tank? I see on the website some of the tanks look amazing and I want to try and replicate. I like to have some type of carpet plant (any ideas which will be easiest to grow/strive in my tank?) I was looking at getting some moss to grow on my driftwood (again what type is the best/easiest to grow?) I will also be getting some Java Ferns/Anubius Nana. Can anyone else suggest any other plants that will be able to strive in my tank? That way I can google the names of those plants and see if I like them. Also I plan on getting some Discus, Rummynose or Cardinals or Harlequin Rasboras, some clown loaches. Will this combo work? I really want a Black Ghost Knife too (I use to keep one with my harlequins and they live together peacefully but I am a little hesitant as each BGK may be different) Thanks
  4. I am looking into buying one of these: http://m.ebay.com/itm/Co2-regulator-mag ... nav=SEARCH To fit into a standard paintball co2 cylinder and use as a co2 system for my aquarium. Has anyone tried this before? And does anyone know if this will work? I heard you also need to buy an adapter as a paintball co2 tank is different. Is this true?

  6. Hi all, I'm looking into keeping / eventually breeding discus fish. I read that you should keep a school of them from when they are small until they are old and hopefully they will pair up as they grow older (either that or buy a breeding pair). 1) I was just wondering, If i brought a few different sizes (say some are 5cm babies, and some are like 10cm) would this lower my chances of them pairing up? 2) What age/sized discus should I purchase to have the best chance of them pairing up eventually? (is it like the older the discus you purchase the least chance of them pairing up?) Any other tips would be great
