My first suspicion will be over nutrient/dose and too much light. What is the timing for your light? Maybe algae eating crew is going to help you here like oto or SAE..

Is the 150w MH better than 4x24w T5HO? i guess MH eat your electricity! and 150w MH is HOT

My glosso failed due to low light instead of spreading it grow upwards and turn ugly! I set up the glosso same time together with my friend nano tank and he is using T5HO and the differences? his glosso spread like a wild fire! and you ended getting a nice green foreground:) hence T5HO (High Intensity) do help in growing and i'm planning to grab one now.

My first impression is that do the white colour consists of any patches like cotton? suspecting it is a fungal + fin rot condition. I think my first treatment will be isolation and add some aquarium salt. If it does not help much, go melafix and last treatment will be furan 2. is the betta showing any bloating? or even raised scale? Good luck for the treatment.
