I stick by peacock moss. it grows like that. no weeping moss there nick.

, only true submersed available mosses we get here are xmas and java.the moss on the bottom looks like xmas :-? , moss on branches looks like weeping
blyxa also only goes red under high light, good nutrients and lots of CO2

distilled water means a very low conentration of minerals/anything. PH of it should be neutral. so its safe to use for WCes.
and it doesn't hurt to try

mine was a bit cheaper for that for 12 ($20 I think...) but they arrived and were all munched in the mail :evil: and it's just starting to grow back now

Maybe some other live food? daphnia and/or mosquito larvae(maybe slightly smaller goldfish)? and try and feed him just before the lights go out?....
