Hi I to like Kuhli loaches and have about 12 in my tank. I use Daltons aquatic mix about 1 and 1/2 inches and Daltons propagating sand 1 and 1/2 inches again (purchased from the warehouse and washed before use) because the tank is planted my loaches think they are hiding under the plants so they are always out and about. My plants also grow well. Neill

Gave up on vodka as had no success purchased some erethromyacin from vet for $5 addes some more light, Alge gone plants growing better than ever. Neill -
Purchase a flying fox or a siamese alge eater. very good for keeping BBA down. Also recomend the Flourish worked a treat for me. Neill

Hi Just wondering what the medicine was as I have experianced this before and the only way I found toget rid of it was to remove the sick at the first sign and euthenase them. Regards Neill

Hi Best bet is to buy six Juvies and let them mature and pair off naturally. This takes about nine months or if you are really in a hurry buy a breeding pair off trade me or ask on here under trade and exchange. Regards Neill

Do I need to do anything special when treating my bristlenoses for whitespot. Am intending on going for a formalin treatment to be kinder to my plants. Any advise would be great as I find my BNs dont handle chemicals very well. Regards Neill

Second week and another dose of vodka for the tank. The algae is starting to disapear. Fish still okay. Neill -
hi I transfer the female after 14 days to a seperate tank and wait for her to spit them out. I have stripped the fish but not really my cup of tea. I wouldn't recommend a net trap for the fry in the same tank as the adult fish because they will try and suck them through the net and you may lose all your fry. Neill

Day one and not looking good Added a teaspoon and a bit to my 112L tank. Today my tank water has got a light brownish discolouration. Is this normal or do I change the water?. -

Started on the vodka treatment today. I will keep updated on the result. Fish are showing no sign of distress and fry are alive and well. -

Hi I have had great success using oatmeal in a 2 litre icecream container. I usually just put about a centimetre of rolled oats in the bottom of the clean ice cream container and cover with water. Once the water has been soaked up I seed it with some of the worms from my previous culture, put the top on and sit it somewhere safe. I like to open it every day for air and within a week you can see the worms climbing the sides of the container.

Hi Thanks for the plant, looks good in my tank and I'm sure my young platies will really benifit from it. I am coming down to Dunnos in July to visit my family if you would like something brought down let me know and I may be able to find it on the way.
