I hope so. Shes my one female i have. ps if you dont know i have six other males. (What are the chances i buy six kribs and all of them are males) then i buy a female! and then the hunt is off!

Whats with these do they work? Im thinking about getting some but before i do i just want to know if they work or not other wize i could be wasting my money on something that wont do its job.

Dosent seem to be getting infected so hopefuly she is getting better

One prob with that. My mum gave me the tank when her turtle sadly passed away, and now i have the cons and the jewels in there, and the basking ledge comes out allmost half way so my arms arent long enough to reach under it and the food cant get to both sides with the fish being able to see it. And now the cons have gone mad and now have control of 3/4 of the tank!

Today i will take the jewels out and put them in a bag then change the rocks around. Sound good?

there are two jewels and they are a pair a so are the convicts. the tank is 120cm long it has a lot of rocks and have put two flower pots in when i got the cons

Hi all as the title says I just got my convicts and my large male jewel does not seem to like them. he chases them round and now they are hiding behind the filter. Do you guys think this is just typical cichlid behaviour and they will sort their problems out? ps:for those who dont know i just got the convicts today and have had the jelwels since last Friday.

Might be from flower pot because it has some sharp edges on it?

HELP just got back from timrau yesterday to find that my one female krib has cut her head badly. Open to any suggestions?

My 2 new red jewels

Yay! Just got them and they are beautiful. They are boy and girl, and just layed eggs yesterday in the previous owners tank. Im getting the pair of convicts on Wednesday or Thursday and they are 8cm and 5cm. Im going to put another pipe in when i get the convicts so there should be no fighting over territory so it should work out. The tank the jelwels came from had a fully growen breeing pair of convicts in it, they were huge!

I was talking with a guy from a local fish shop and i asked him about tank mates he said the jewels like the kind of water conditons as acaras more than the kinds of water from the rift lakes.

opps preesin buttons to fast. :lol: other wise i might be able to swap them for some other fish. How do blue acaras sound?
