  1. my filetrs a eihiem one sp* dunno if any thing needs changing in there. well the tetr doesent look any better. yet its stil eting and swimming in its group.. so i put it in a container on its own for now.. need to get this water tested. work has bee so hectic havnt had a chance
  2. no have not cleaned the filter.. and i dont normally have system to claning the tank really.. maybe i will do quarters from now on? and once or so a week? any other recommendations?
  3. nope i dont.. any suggestions on where to go? anyone here work at animates botany? maybe i can take a water sample there?? any other suggetsions?
  4. i think what really threw it of.. was that i did more than a quarter of the tank water change on sunday... i normally just do a qarter.. this time i went closer to half  so i guess give it a few more days and dont quarantine them?? i noticed a white spot on the tail of one of my swordtails.. and to be honest i think i got him like that.. but not sure now.. its all making me paranoid..
  5. so leave them and monitor it? i have a yellow tube and blue tube .. acidic and alkaline.. no insturctions tho.. should i be doing something about this?? any suggestions as i would love to keep all my fish healthy.. thanks
  6. could it be PH ?? I have a PH kit normally water is blue. I have tested it now and its a very light/slime green? Whats to do there?
  7. so put them in a container using the same water.. just no contact.. and the reason to leave it in the tank is to keep the same temperature? and an air stone? sorry excuse my ignorance..
  8. also another question? i dont have another tank.. if i was to remove them for the night? whats the bst thing to do??
  9. hmm those pics dont really look like the tetrs i have.. in terms of colour. i have read it everywhere as well.. they would all swim nicely together and i just noticed one on its own. has been the case for a few weeks.. but im really not sure..?? what to do dont want to infect more fish.. but one fenitly looks battered.. its all intact but faded colour and tails a bit white?
  10. ok i have had my tetras for about a month now.. Bought 3 from one person and another three from someone else.. I hae noticed that 3 of them seem to be looking real faded.. 2 have noticeable white lumps on there tails... they are still all happily swimming in there school.. But im not too sure.. they just look tierd and faded. mind you the blue part is still quit lively.. could it be? and what needs to be done?
  11.  ok after really having a think about it.. its a male... hmm his stoach looks a bit bloated and white.. i got them confused.. sorry
  12. Helo everyone.. In my tank i have 2 male sword tails and one female.. the female looks bloated. me and my partner suspect that she might be pregnant? How to confirm this? also want to make sure she is not sick?? Orange sword tail and stomach area looks a bit bloated and lighter skin colour..
