  1. see, Disgustipated you make my life difficult with your choice of words up there

I think 'whore' is vulgar and should be chopped. It really isn't a nice word and if a woman wants to do that then she doesn't need to be disrespected for it.

If you were me what would you replace that word with so your post remained intact? Woman of the Night?

    :digH:

    Down with borderline words! :an!gry

Anyone who sells their body for money is a whore. If they want to disrespect themselves like that then they should wear the label (this includes men too).

I decided to do some important research into the claims of Cadbury. I’d had all 3 bars on separate occasions but found no difference between Moro Gold and Moro Gold Extreme. I realised that only the truth could be known by purchasing and eating them all together.

During this important research I discovered the following: that Gold Extreme has about 12% more caramel than Gold, and less chocolatey centre. The bar is thinner in diameter.

The nougat in Gold and Gold Extreme is not called nougat, they call it chocolate flavoured centre and it’s soft and fudgey compared to chewy in ordinary Moro, and of course has the crunchy bits.

To eat, the Gold extreme is the softest bar and Moro is quite chewy compared.

Moro has the least amount of sugar, and fat, Moro Gold has the most fat and overall calories, Moro Gold has the most sugar.

I have not decided which one I like best. I will have to eat more to find out.

 Too sickly those things. I have some in my cupboard that are still there 3 months later - ick!

  3. I understand the treatment is Potassium Permanganate, but does anyone know how much to dose the tank? From what I understand, this is generally used for gardening? :dno:

Is there another treatment for anchor worm or is this it?

  4. Bigger motor=more flow. More flow=more crap caught in the filter wool. More crap=clogs faster. Clogs faster=loses flow faster.

But that's just it, the filter isn't very dirty - in fact one of the tray's of wool is still completely clean and white.

Have you tried removing the filter wool? It's not a necessity. And it could be that the eheim filter or the difference in how you've put it in also means that the water in the eheim just bypassed the clogged up filter wool while the fluval still has to push through it.

Good idea, I'll try an experiment and only run it with the one tray of noodles and see how that goes

  5. I'll trade you a perfectly functioning CF1200 for your faulty FX5. :P

    Well I'm sorely tempted! :fshi:

I've had Eheim classics that didn't behave like this - the flow slowed when they were very gunged up and had been going for months. They also had wool in one of their trays so I can't understand why basic wool is being such a problem for a filter which has a much stronger motor. I've tried to find less compact wool to use but it all seems to be a problem.

I looked into sintered glass and think it only comes as noodles? I'm tring to remember what other media the eheims had besides ceramic noodles and filter wool..... :dunno:

  6. STILL trying to get this thing sorted and am sick of cleaning it out to find it's not that dirty - the flow is strong for about 2 weeks then it slows right down. I just cleaned it out again today and the flow isn't that great already. I'm at a loss what to do.

  7. I ran the half marathon and I'm still alive to tell the tale :dnc1:

I hate running, hate it with a passion! I used to do cross-country when I was young but absolutely loathe it now and even running on the treadmill at the gum (which is way easier than the road) is a nightmare that I must torture myself through. Tomorrow, however, I will run the 4km I plan to and feel better for it, but hate it! :an!gry

rolfl :rolfl: rotf :rotf:- added these two eejits cos they're BOTH STILL in the list of smilies, albeit different codes :P

  8. for the most part it is just friendly banter. they are our closest neighbours so it's a bit like sibling rivalry. there is also the fact that they are traditionaly very good at the sports that we compete at most fiercly (rugby, cricket, league etc.). while i must admit that it certainly "spins my wheels" to see the aussies get beaten on the sports field, it was also apparant to me when I was travelling round the world that aussies and kiwis tended to gravitate together (especialy when there was beer drinking envolved). it's similar to the north island south island rivalry. there's a lot of talk about disliking each other, but when the quakes hit in chch there were a heck of a lot of people in the north island rallying together to get money and supplies sent down to help out

    :iag:

I have a good Aussie friend and we give each other a hard time constantly, but it's all in good fun :)

....and to stay on topic - what spins my wheels is the gym, it's my home away from home

  9. Got the place painted so once again the fish are in the bins (2 tanks of fish this time - 3 bins of fish). Now the painting is done and tanks moved back into place, I'm in the process of refilling/heating/cyling them again.

...not to mention putting everything else back.
