  2. when i went to the petshop they said they ran out of the furan 2 so instead returned with the $6 wunder Tonic. Should i use it on a breeding pair of discus or should i wait for tommorow and get furan 2 from another petshop

  5. I just bought a new breeding pair of discus but they are in bad shape. One of them has torn fins that are rotting and both have white spots and little hairs sticking out from the sides. Not sure if this is ich or fungi because never had this problem before and they are on thier own. What medications should i give them. I have put in melafix and methylene blue. http://i418.photobucket.com/albums/pp261/manmeet16/14102008041.jpghttp://i418.photobucket.com/albums/pp261/manmeet16/14102008042.jpghttp://i418.photobucket.com/albums/pp261/manmeet16/14102008045.jpg http://i418.photobucket.com/albums/pp261/manmeet16/14102008046.jpg pic of spot on male Another zoomed in Pic of spot on male Please suggest what i should do

    Panda corys

Normally Corys lay eggs on the glass or rather straight objects eg plant leaves. So i dont think they will lay on spawning mop. Thanks
  7. I have a tank shelf with 3 shelfs. I have two 60 l tanks in the middle shelf an two small tanks at the top and a few tank essentials e.g. food at the bottom in secure boxes. At the top shelf i would like to replace the small tanks with bigger tanks but i think the shelf would be unstable if i put more weight on the top and theres nothing on the bottom shelf. I don't want to put the tanks on the botoom shelf as it is reachable by small children. Is this wise??
  8. Hi thanks all for replying , i probably will invest in some dwarf chain loaches and after the snails are gone put them in my 240 litre tank
  9. I have a 60 litre tank with 4 Breeding cory and a pair of breeding albino bristlenose. The tank has 2 filters running on it. everything is perfect but the snails, i think they're pond snails but not sure. They are the most mesy things ever they have more waste then all my fishes and i have to regulary clean the tank. Every morning when i feed the fish and in the afternoon i take of all the snails i can see off the glass and chuck them into unused tank that is filled up with water and these days you cant see water but only snail even after chucking it away once 3 weeks ago, but know its enough i totally want to get rid of them without ripping apart the tank, what should i do?
  10. Mine normlly spawn when i do 30% water change and i also have put in ice in the tank to cool the water and this worked also
  11. Heh Cam i got my female off Adodge, i think he has more but not sure pm him. He will propably ship them. Thanks
  12. Hi and thanks again for replying, so now im gonna leave the pvc idea and mavbe go for bamboo or terracota there are many idea so maybe ill try all of them Thanks
  13. Thanks All who replyed I will probably have one cave made out pcv tube in my breeding tank for one pair and the other pair can stay in the community tank. Then ill wait and see which pair spawns first Thanks again
  14. Hi Yeah its necessary to pour it in over one hor period because the powder is dissolved in boiling water and if u suddenly put thewhole cup ful, this will be a big shock to the fish. I aave contacted the wholesaler in the UK and he has said it is totally safe and is tested many times on his discus. The wholesaler owns a discus breeding company in the uk , he sent me some to Auckland but MaF quarintined it and i sent it back to get a refund, the wholesaler is a nice guy. the guy which i bought Kusuri from is in Rotorua and suprisingly he gets his shipment without it being quarintied. If some one wanted to the can register the product wih MAF and retaail it here in Nz but it is a big hassle
  15. Hi i wondering if anyone had a spare caves for my two pairs of Bristlenose. Yhe caves are Really needed
  16. Iv used Kusuri on my Bristlenose and Discus and nothings gone wrong but it may kill of snails if you have any. Its totslly safe for all tropical fish.
  17. Sterbai Cory are the most suitable for Discus tanks as they can stand high temperatures eg 30 degree
