  1. well idk what it was but remaining 4 neons r fine along with the guppy, dwarf gourami pair and 2 BN's so i'm ok with that.
  2. i just foudn the other one that was missing, it is dead and covered in a white gel stuff thing??? no sign of "rotting" some of them were very slow moving and remaining up the top of the tanka night before i found them dead. i am baffled by this and wonder if they could have had their fins nipped when they were dead/very slow due to illness? i will get over the loss of an entire species of fish from my tank and nearly half of another in time.
  3. that was my reasoning when my friend suggested that.
  4. well i got a pair of dwarf gouramis, a guppy(completly left out of this) and 2 bristlenoses. this has been like this for maybe 4-6 weeks. i have recently removed some vegetation which has removed some cover but there were deaths before this change.
  5. i have lost all 4 of my glowlight tetras and 2 neon tetras.another neon is missing. i found 2 dead on sunday and did a water change on tuesday after finding another one dead. tests show amonia=0, nitrite=0 ph 6.4-6.8, nitrate=20 ppm. what is wrong. i have noticed the tail fins are nearly gone on most of the deceased fish. please help me.
  6. was on again today at 5:30 and another program on the amazon was on too. i recorded both but only got vhs still very good programmes.
  7. yup probably the most interesting pic i ever seen of fish... but i'd reccomend leaving the "gates"closed... lol
  8. i had my fav fish(male flame-red dwarf gourami) lose control of his direction(maybe swim bladder) anywya i had a glowluight suffer from smae thing and i reluctantlyput down my gourami after 3 days of noticing severe signs. and sorry for the loss of you fish by the way, i (as i'm sure most people)am very sad when any of my fish get sick or die.
  9. ok and i expect answer is yes but just making sure, i need a pair?
  10. i have recently fallen in love with blue rams and would love to have some of my own but i am worried they may be incompatable with my tank and current stock. i have an aqua one 510 75ltr tank with 7 neons, 3 glowlights, 1 guppy,2 bristle noses and a pair of dwarf gouramis. i would like to know if a) i have room and how i could make room if not and b) if the blue ram(s) would get on with my current fish. Thanks Richard
  11. thanks so much for the advice. will go do water change tonight.
  12. oh i just thought, what do they look like when they're mating? because i saw them when nest was new sort of curled up in each other right by the nest. this just courting?
  13. ok thanks, so i'm not gonna kill off any fry or anyhting? and it may be good to get rid of nest as the other fish cna act normal again?
  14. i have a big problem- i have a bubble nest from my pair of dwarf gouramis but my ph has goten down to about 6. it would be near impossible to change water without distubing or destroying nest. i don't want my ph so low but i can't bring myself to destroy the nest as i have never had any fish breed before. the male is new as my other died. the bubble nest is reaching 2 1/2 weeks old now and i'm not sure if that means it's not fertile. the male was guarding furiously in first week or so and all other fish wouldn't go higher than 10cm in the tank. it is a 75 litre aqua one ar-580 community tank. other stock are bout 4-6 glowlight tetras, 6-7 neon tetras, 2 bristlenoses, 1 guppy(sole surviver of 7) and the pair of dwarf gouramis. i need to do a water change as it is getting 1.5-2weeks overdue. please help. Richard
  15. nice. i have just found that my dwaves have mated but in a community tank. not many hopes for survival but i'll try my best.
