  1. I have 6 neons and 2 of them have something going on. First noticed round patch of loss of colour on red both sides by tail. Looked this morning and another has it. One is getting worse and spreading up the body still on the red bit on its body though and from back when its swimming looks swollen in that area. All eating and swimming fine at the moment. I looked on internet and can't find anything similar. I'm guessing it is just the very early stages of something. Has anybody else had something similar going on or know what it is and how to treat. I would appreciate any comments.
  2. I have 3 sterbai and 1 bristlenose. I feed them algae wafers and various veg occas for bristlenose and basic sinking bottom feeder tablets for catfish they also get tetra bits that sink to the bottom and flake if the guppies don't eat it it first. they appear well fed as they are a good size and pretty solid looking but really scittish I assume thats normal. Just noticed as been really watching last few days that 2 appear to hide together under cover or if 1 under cover the other two go to the back of the tank together but they stay all together when they're out in the open. But do appear to go nuts swimming up and down really fast sometimes appearing to chase each other. Do they pair up?
  3. The shapes vary mostly rounded it doesn't look sharp, gravel was purchased from a pet shop. The catfish have splits on the top fin on their backs and their tails as well, 1 catfish has a couple on his taill and 1 on the top fin. The other it is difficult to see properly right now as they are so quick. I just know it has some. I may get a better look later.
  4. Does anyone know if sterbai catfish are aggresive with one another as 2 of mine have split fins like they have been fighting. I have 3 in a tank with 1 bristlenose, 3 platties, 6 neons, several guppies and 2 discus. I don't think any of the other fish are doing it and have seen them chasing the bristlenose and I think each other or they may be following each other it's difficult to tell as they are so quick. Any ideas?
