1 female left and 4 males. Good thing I've got 6 tanks going at the moment so they can all have 1 each. Am trying with my fighter fish for now while the gourami have a rest.

Hello people. using a 20ltr tank with sponge filter and glad wrap round the top removing female straight after spawwing then male next day. feeding green water and liquid fry food. ph 6.8 temp 28degC ??????

Have removed the gravel as suggested and left the plants floating yet the same thing has hapened and now theres no fry left. And worse yet checked the main tank last to find 1 of the females doing the back stroke, so now I've only got the 1 female left.

The gravel is only in one corner just to hold some fake plants down but will give it a try. the fake plants should do as floating cover

Have been feeding liqiud fry food and other than that have been leaving them alone. Have got some fake plants in a corner of the tank and some gravel as well, Do you suggest some floating plants? Also been running a sponge filter.

Have had another succesfull spawn(larger than last) But same thing although this time they got to 2 weeks old and now cam only count 12 when there was at least 150/200 they just seemto vanish. Have used the gladwrap this time and they where doing really well. They just seem to vanish over 2 nights. Any thoughts.

Had managed to get them to spwan and the eggs hacthed but the fry seemed to vanish untill theres only one left.

Good luck in breeding them. What I'm after is the know how to successfully breed them myself.

I find the fish help to calm the nerves after a stressfull day at work and the breeding part just sorta happens then you get to buy another tank. Decided that fish were a cheaper alternative to speeding tickets also

what type of materials did you use. (paint etc)

Just how catchy is TB in fish I mean if 1s got it will the whole tank become infected?

Yes MTS has kicked in even to the point I'm thinking about chucking my piano out so I can fit in another tank Now the wife has started bringing home fish, it just seems to snow ball!

thank for the welcome had a tank a few years back but due to busy lifestyle i gave it up ,untill my wife found the tank in the back of my old moving van and got some goldfish. now we've got 3 tanks all with a mixture of tetras,livebearers and so on

Have just brought 3 golden sailfins and have noticed the 2 females seem to spend most of the time sulking in the corner at the top while the male is quite active. :-?
