Hi fishkeepers, I am having a problem with algae in my coldwater tank at the moment.I can take the stones out and scrub them clean and change 1/3 of the water every second week but I still can't get it off my plants.I don't want to put snails in to control it, and I am not sure of what fish I can put in to control it.I would like to fix this without using chemicals if I can. Any thoughts? Thanks

Hello people, I hav a question for you all, I hav a tank I grow my pond weed and duck weed in for my comets.I have added about six white cloud minnows just too add some balance to it.Now the fish hav started to breed and I have found some free swimming babies in the weed.Can these fish live and grow with the adults or do I have to remove them to another tank for them to grow into adults.

Could anyone tell me where I could get live tubifex worms from in auckland.I seem to only be able to buy freeze dried ones. :-?

I am about to leave my tank and my fish for about ten day's.I have stocked up on pond weed and duck weed for them.Will this keep them happy for ten days? I have five medium goldfish.Is there anything eles i might put in their tank to feed them without it going bad on them?Getting somone in to feed them is not a option.

Hello, I am wondering if someone might be able to help.I have a 120 litre tank with 4 medium sized comets, and 2 small fantails in it.Having set up this tank with plants to begin with, the little beggers have eaten them all and now I am having to put plastic ones in just to give it that underwater feel.What plants could I put in , that would stand up to the fish and their hunger for vege?Also I have read that these fish will eat lettuce.How would you give it too them?Just chopped or blanched or just tear it up and drop it in?
