thanks for the advice guys. its just a planted discus tank but had a heater fail one me, but lucky i caught it on time,was the only heater in the tank, so trying to prevent it happening again.

Hi was thinking of getting 2 fluval 200watt E series heaters for my 240l tank,would this be overkill?was thinking that if there bigger they wont have to be on as long as the 100watt ones which are recommended for a tank size of 120l. Was going to have them both running and one acting as a back up heater just in case one failed.any advice much appreciated. Also anyone got one of these and how good are they, has quite a bit of positive feedback on the net.

i have visited a few all last saturday, with no luck thats why i was asking on this forum to see if some kind people had brought some from somewhere they know.

thanks for that , tryed them but they only had slate tiles was after more natural looking pieces.

Hi does anyone know where i can buy slate rock for one of my tanks in auckland ? Have tried stone and water world but they only got schist walling stone. thanks

thats what i mean $300 each sounds abit steep because im sure i saw these at hff for $60 each they where labelled chocolate zebra catfish.

lol Ron finally found that section u where talking about the pictures are great.u shud put pics up of the babies but then again u can hardly even see them. lol think ul need a really big cheque book to get them from him :lol: -
those are really good quality discus u got there Ron cant wait to see them when there adults and all the patterns and colors show up even more loving them

nah ron 2 are from u a while ago and 1 i brought a couple of months back and the other was given to me. Was pretty skinny and dark when i got it came from a 2 foot tank with guppies now its starting to grow and colour up. Luke thanks for the compliments u have stunning looking discus too
