So how and where do i get this stuff, erythromycin. I have called one vet, cut long story short..he said that I have to get him some of my fish and water for him to do all the research and that will take time for him to come up with how he is going to use erythromycin.

what does blackout mean? Just turn the aquarium tubes off for a while (week or so), or cover the whole aqaurium with something (like dark cloth) so no light gets in.please reply soon coz its trying to take over my aquarium. thanks for other hints.

I have a 250L tank with medium plant and 2 42" tube on top. 1000l/h filter, DIY CO2 system with fish. Recently green slimy algae started appearing on the front side of the aquarium. where i think its more exposed to light. I have been using algae control solution that i brought from the pet shop. I am putting about 5ml every three days for last week. the green algae seem to be growing more and not stopping. Its getting more and more every day, like growing in patches and the patches and growing bigger and greener. the solution seen to do little good and i think that the algae is taking over. Please anyone out there can help me. I have check the ammonia and nitrite levels and that is normal, no reading everything is 0. anyone out there please give me some suggestions.

I have a 250L tank and 1000L/h Filter. The filter now running for about 6 months, just want to know does it require changing or cleaning at any point? and if yes, then when to do it?

Hi Will Marine Glo give out more intense Blue neon light from Neon Tetras? That the moment I am using 2 4 feet aqua glo for my 4 feet tank. I have got life plants, angels and few other fish with Neon Tetras.

I have 8 small angels in my 4 feet tank. I see my twisted val leaves getting smaller everyday. Bits are floating on top too. Do you think angels eat them. How can i avoid that?

The tank is already on top with water fish and everything. It looks and feels quite stable.

Just another question. I have started planting some live plants in the Tank. I bought a air pump yesterday. Someone told me that I have to have the pump running very slowly at night for the plants. First do I have to do that or just shut it off or if Yes, than air pump has only two speed setting, which does not make much difference. Is there any DIY methods to make it slow. Thank you for all you help.

I have just upgarded from 25L tank to 250L tank.Now for my 25L tank I changed about half the tank water every week. Since I have got a bigger tank can anyone tell me after how long and how much water change is needed for a 250L tank. I have about 20 neons, 2 suckers, 1 female betta, 8 other neon sized fish (dont know the names). It has Aqua One 1000 filter on it.Also do I need to run the filter 24 hours , currently I am switching it off at night, so it runs 6 hours.I alo turn the tanks lights off at night. Please guide me.

Hi Can anyone tell me why my Betta died? He was 3 month old red betta. I got him three days ago and he was sharing a tank with two other bettas (sepearted ofcourse). Just yesterday afternoon I went to feed them freeze bloodworm, which the other two betta eat with no problem. But the red betta didn't eat anything, just stayed at the bottom of the tank. I did noticed that its fins are all curled in, and it seemed that he was tired. This morning I found him death on the tank floor. The another two are looking good and seemed to have no problem. I checked the PH of the tank, its 7.0. The tempature is mantained at 24 C. I did take lots of snaps of the red fish day before yesterday with camera flash on. I hope that the flash has not affected him somehow. I am at work now and I still have my dead fish in my pocket. Poor thing I miss him.

Just from Yesterday I have noticed that one of my betta who shares a tank with another male, is acting bit out of normal. He would go to the back of the tank glass and swim in circles very close to the glass, sometimes allowing its sides to touch the glass...Is this normal? Tell me quick I am worried about him.

Removed the confusion

I am new betta lover. I have two male bettas. One in blue/Green and the other is purplish with bits of red at the end of the fins. I waiting to get a pure red male. This forum rocks with informations and guides...good job FNZAS.

Hi I am new to Bettas. I have got two males in a tank, coz separated with a tank separater. These beauites are 4 months old. I tried to feed them freeze dried bloodworms (mosquitoe Lava), but they dont seem to like it. I read on the net that its best food for them. They prefer Betta flakes above that. Why! Also do they like Brime Shrimp? I am thinking of getting the breeding utensil.
