We have ours in with Blue lump heads (Dolphins) seem the dolphin's gave them a lot more hassle. Only some aggression towards to each other but in general they are quite placid. Have a lot of aggression when they were breeding, then they give everything hell.

Blue Dolphin Fry top pick Electra Fry bottom pick Sorry not perfect picks We have found they are very similar, even have orange anal fins and black on the top fins. Electra's have more of a silver shimmer on the body. Would be a task to separate them if they we in together until a later stage, or the dolphins colour up, good thing we have ours in separate tanks. LOL LYNN

Just a clarification this is not about disease! Was just wondering how others clean there nets, water draining pipes, buckets etc Thought I would make that clear as its seem to be concentrated on diseases and not cleaning. We have many tanks and nets for each that we place in hot water with salt and then hang out to dry. Do understand that if some precaution is not taken it could result in a outbreak of some sort. And naturally if you have a situation in a specific tank you would not place the same net into your other tanks unless you only have one

What are you using to sterilise your cichlid tank equipment, i.e. nets! And how often Just curious! Lynn

Females have been showing signs of breeding eg egg layers out etc You could purchase fry when available, but fist few batches are all ready reserved Will see how things go and will keep you in mind.

Hi thought I would share its not every day this happens Few months back I purchased 4 Electra's and grew them up. But no sign of breeding so we striped down the tank and vented them, all females ! Picked up 5 more over this last 2 weeks in the hope of finding a male, and........... they are all females !

Its not a Blue zebra. (Cobalt) As the top fins and tail colors shows black to dark blue markings, But the body shape is close. Where the shape of the fish does not look as of a socolofi. (Head shape). My answer, Don't know. :roll:
