Thanks guys..... Now, what the different between the hang-on, internal, external & cannister fitlers. What are the best one for the turtle tank? Is fluval a good brand? Thanks again.
I have an underground gravel filter thing, and now have decide to get a fitler now. There are so many different one, that I don't know which one is best for a turtle tank. Any help will be great. Thanks Sue
I have decide to get a canister filter for our turtle tank and maybe get one for the goldfish tank. Which one are the best brand? Aqua one or Fluval? What do you look at when buying a canister filter? Thanks

where can you buy non-iodized salt(common salt) from. The only salt I can find is iodized salt, tonic salt & sea salt. It is for my turtle tank for infection. Thanks
Thanks.... We have talked to the kids about this (that turtles will eat the fish) and they are fine with that. The turtle & fish tanks are side by side each other, and 1 of the turtle sit there all day watching the goldfish swim(Looked so cute)!
I have an undergravel filter for both the turtle & goldfish tanks. I would like to add a internal or external filter to the undergravel filter, but not sure which one. Can anyone please advice me what to do. Thanks
My son has 2 red eared turtles which are about 5/6 months old. They are growing heaps since we got them nearly 3 months ago. Just a couple of questions, Is it ok for them to be in the water 99% of the time? They have a ramp but don't use it and also at what age do they get fed once a day?? Thanks heap
Yes the heater on all the time, the tank is half full, not really any water movement by heater apart from the undergravel fitler movement, I do have a glass lid for the tank but wasn't sure if it was a good idea to use as the turtles need light and though the glass lid would stop the turtles getting their light. I am only new to turtles and the book don't say much.
I have got a 50w heater for our turtles tank. It has about 50 litres of water in the tank, but the temperature is only 24'c. Do I need a stronger watts heater? :-? (Oh they are baby turtles)
Thanks, Yep it is that cottoney greyish white stuff, I have done a couple of boil water stuff, gave it a scrub etc. Most of it is gone, so all ready for the turtles when they come tomorrow. Thanks everyone.
How do you clean these? Got some from the beach, been soaking for 3 weeks, gave it 2 water blast, and still have some white stuff floating off it. Now what?

are Masterpet 9 watt lighthood ok for turtle? Some people say uvb light, other say don't waste your money on these light. Where the turtle set up is, get plenty of sun light (not direct sun light) Thanks Sue
