my male did the same thing and then i put a different female in there and they breed the next day know gt heaps of fry they are so small:-)

they are about 4 cm in length and $14 i mite crab a few my self

HI ALL i saw some of these in holly wood the other day they will turn out to be bizzare fish when older just posting this if any body was interested in these they are quiet cool.LOL :bounce:

yea i got 2 from hollywood about two years ago and havent seen any more .and one died but one lived

yea its not a johannii or an auratus hope you find a few females for him its looks good:-]

they look very similar to the melanochromis auratus are you shore they are Melanochromis vermivorus

my pair has just spawned and their very small the males is only about 5 cm and female is about 4 cm and there in a 2 foot tank which may sound a bit sad but will be upgrading to a 3 foot or something like that soon. they are very aggressive fish:-}

yea had a look at the vent photos its very hard to tell but the egg spots and the pointed tip at the end of dorsel fin all the body is showing male signs but the vent im not to sure . and maybe the black mark was a missing scale and grew back a dark colour.my eletra has black spcekles on the back of body if thats any help :lol:

hay that spot on the fish isnt a worrie a few of my cihlids have it its just some marks that it was born with i think . Nice fish though

you probably wont find any in the trade in exchage i heard there were four pairs in the country and they were spread over new zealand but put a add in the t&e and you might get lucky

hi, i had a large nimbochromis with hole in the head and i put spot-off on its body trying not to get any in gills (this is out off water) for a week, once day and that cured it. pesonally i woundnt put it straight on its eye just give it a salt bath that should cure it. :lol:

hay,ive never seen these guys before. If someone breed them im sure every LSF would have them.
