the tail slapping in the face is aggression towards each other trying to sort out whos the boss in the tank. mine did this when i had them. they should sort them selfs out soon. and the males are the better looking out of the females. The males have alot of red blue and long bottom fins.

i wouldnt wana go with jebos they either stay on or stay off and all ways causing me trouble but thats just my opinion

Yea that cat was so cool and big heres a pic but not very clear but thats it i saw it my self.

the zaries and like moba,ikola,tanz all have a mask around there face on the eye bar and burundi have a bar going straight through their eye not like this one where the bar goes around the face

their was a kig with the burundis and i think some of the fry got out in nz

gota watch out if you put those pecocks and ahlis in the same tank as the demasoni's cause they will ripp them up specially when they breed.

the alpha is round 10-13 cm and the rest are around 2-4-7cm they have only just been coming out from hiding latley now they swimming the hole lenght of the tank their so awsome to watch i want more :bounce: and there around a year old

Melanochromis auratus wouldnt go puttin them with the GEO

ha, cant see any prob at all with that ive done that alot with malawis and never got bothered so there shpuld be no probs in ur case cameron

hay welcome to the forum and good luck find them i know we have the jlidochromis marlieri and tropheus are also hard to come by in nz but other people are breeding them from what i know there are duboisi and ikola and some other species which i dont know what there name is. good luck

cool thanxs guys just got a female and got 7 fry not many but the broods why get bigger and bigger as she get bigger i sapose:-)
