    Help please!!

the water is fresh from the tank (which we drink). I have aerated it for three to four hours a day, as it a long distance from the power source. Would flushing the entire tank again help? Or is constant aeration nessasery?

    Help please!!

My large goldfish, are at the top of the tank, doing what looks like gasping for air. I just cleaned it out yesterday thinking Dirty water was the problem, yet they are still doing it. Tank measures 160 cm diametor. 120 Deep. Old concrete water tank. WAter still slightly cloudy but can see bottom. there is around 16 very large fish in this tank. Advice Please!!
  4. the girls had a great time a good learning exprience .hope he or she ,is right way up tomorrow, more good news, my beutifull wife got to shake hands with stevie nicks last night . and got me tickets to the rolling stones yay yay yay gold fish cama scuse the bad spelling terry.
  5. We saved these 16 of these fish from a quickly drying up pond (Not ours). Put them in a large concrete pond, to try and save them. now that we've cleaned the pond, i hope have done so. Thnx
  6. So, Had the spade out, was just about to bury my fish, Floating at the top, no movement, bent sideways. Noticed a eye flicker and i tiny gill movement, After reading differents posts on this forum, thought i'd try this.. I'd filled the family bath with water, to see what we could do. me and my two daughters aged five and twelve, held the fish upright in shifts for about two hours, amazingly his gills began to move again and slight mouth movements. If we let him go he'd fall on his side again. We decided to use to large jars in the bath to hold him upright. and checked him from time to time. Lights out went to bed, hoped for the best. To our surprise next moring he was happily swimming around the bath tub!! HAd a good chance to measure him, 30 cm long 11 Cm high 8 Cm wide. One tough gold fish, HAve now cleaned water in tank and hope i don't have to do this again. The girls named him Fiddy lucky.
  7. Would anyone have any idea roughly what my large goldfish might be worth to sell? Variety of colours averaging 35cm long! Fat and healthy and pond raised-Thanks!!
  8. HI There. I have aquired what I believe to be very large goldfish measuring between 30 and 35 cm in length. Some are completely gold others multi coloured and speckled. Round fat and healthy no sign of any whiskers or anything to suggest from my research that they are koi carp but needing confirmation of this characteristic. They have come from an extremely large pond and I live in the Far north of the North Island. I have been told by the previous owner they are goldfish but want to make sure as the size of them makes me wonder. Would appreciate any input.
