You can put them together but you would be running a risk of damaging either fish. Fighters are cheap to replace but do you want to take the risk of loosing your discus. Siamese Fighters have the tendency to want to FIGHT anything that has fins and scales. So you might want to think about it.... Barney

Hi all, My name is Barney, I live in Pakuranga, Auckland. I thought I should introduce myself as not to be rude to everyone and jump into the forums. Anyways I have just started fishkeeping, but have had my dad keep fish for a very long time. Goldfish mainly. Now I got a 5 footer of my own. I initially had some comets and a black moor. Then decided to go with Oscars. I had 2 baby tiger Oscars and one albino oscar. Then I fell in love with Arowanas. I put him in the tank with the oscars, but they were terrorising the aro. So I took out the Oscars and put them in Dad's tank. I thought that the Aro was a bit lonely so I went out and bought another aro. I was told that it is very rare for 2 Aros to be in one tank.....well its been more than a month now and they seem to be getting along fine!! no fighting for food or territory......I will have to move to a bigger tank eventually and was wandering if anyone here knows someone who can make tanks. I am looking at probably an 8 x 3 x 3 footer. I have read the forums and to my knowledge Greg is the man to talk to....so greg please Contact me if you read this......I will post some pipcs of my tank and Aros soon.... Thanks Barney
