Thanx for all the howdy's Great to see all these Welly folk on here,and people with axies,I don't know any other axie owners personally. Caryl,thanks for pointing out the search for me,ended up with heaps to read,had to keep reminding myself they weren't all recent(some were old as),I kept wanting to reply!!Lol. Caper,I picked "anyhoo" up off a friend and can't seem to stop myself So yeah....anyhoo....am looking at getting a couple of frogs next,have been offered an upright tank with a leak,should be sweet for a frog-rium(?).Will post when I do. :bounce:

I've been a member for a while,but hardly been on so haven't done the whole "Hi" thing....so Hi I have 2 axolotl,Boris and Diablo,and I plan to get more when I get another tank.I think I'm addicted,they are always smiling and such fun to feed!Anyhoo,how many other axie owners are there on here?It's hard to find threads.

Ok,there is a lot to be learnt about axies on here,I am a member and frequent user of this site http://www.caudata.org/forum/cgi-bin/show.cgi?793/793 Also Axolotl.org I suggest you go there,everything you want to know is on there,and you can ask questions on the forums. My first bit of advice is get rid of the gravel,they eat it and get blocked up,which is painful and kills.Also,a total water change is real bad,the cycling process causes ammonia,nitrite,nitrate,and ph to all go up and down,which can cause stress.Your tank looks a bit small,and no,a tunnel isnt neccessary but bare in mind axies dont like light and have no eyelids,so they do need some shelter/hiding places.Sorry to jump in and bag you,but I am apalled at how little people know about axies in this country,and the lack of want to know.Good on you for asking!!
